Starhenge, conceived and designed by Don Conreaux, is a modern
megalithic installation laid out according to ancient geomantic
specifications and fully landscaped.

The purpose, to nurture the imagination of the modern mind and
youthful spirit

Each Starhenge garden is comprised of multiple overlaid
templates of stone circles that reflect and synthesize the
world's various calen-dric systems. These templates establish
circles within circles, around which are gateways, and within which
are pathways where individuals may walk, contemplate the great
wheel of life, and when reaching the cen-ter, sound a bronze
chalice shaped bell of peace.

This bell is to be cast with recycled weaponry in an ancient tradition
that dates back to the beginning of the Bronze Age, when weapons
of war were re-cast into bells and gongs to proclaim a time of
cooperative peace. One of the tones produced by the Peace Bell
Centerpiece resonates to a C sharp, considered to be the orbital
tone of Earth and the heart center of humans.

The Starhenge groundplan embodies an environmental Feng Shui
concept, including flowers, plants and trees related to particular
correspondences and becomes a universal calculator of seasons
and a compass of earthly directions, wherein you can see exactly
where you are in relation to the world as a whole.

In the Summer of 2000 we began construction of the first
Starhenge peace garden at the Richard Glyn Foundation in Dorset,
SW England. The second Starhenge is scheduled for installation in
Spring 2002 at the Brightside Center in Queensland Australia.
Both sites offer cultural arts and educational programs for adults
and children throughout the year. Although all Starhenge
installations are similar archaic sculptural mandalas, each one
incorporates unique characteristics related to its locality and
specifically its dominant template.

Starhenges lend themselves to special celebratory events such
as Summer and Winter Solstice, and the Spring and Autumn Equinox,
or at any propitious time when connecting with earth and sky are
most meaningful.

We hope these pages inspire your interest in becoming a part of
our global network of peace bell gardens, celebrating humanity working
together in peaceful cooperationand dedicated to non-violence for
the Children of our future.
