Starhenge in Dorset - a work in progress

The Dorset Stone Circle is 84 feet in diameter with seven rings of six foot
widths, beyond which is a ring of 24 trees. The Dorset Starhenge rests in
geometric triangulation with the sacred sites of Glastonbury, Avebury and Stonehenge.

The centrepoint consists of three stones leaning upon each other to support
a chalice-shaped bronze gong, now in development. This bowl shaped gong
will be able to hold both water or flame and resound with a particular tone when
struck. Starting from the center each of the 6 foot ring widths are circumscribed by
white chalk embedded into the turf, and the stones are inscribed with their
corresponding symbols.
First Ring
8 stones are placed in the eight geographical directions.
Second Ring
12 stones that represent the 12 monthly signs of the zodiac.
Third Ring
24 stones that represent three groups of Aett (8) Nordic Runes relating to the
three stones at center.
Fourth Ring
64 stones that represent the hexagrams and the seasonal flow of Chi in the
Chinese I Ching system.
Fifth and Sixth Rings (not yet in place)
will accommodate the Celtic, Native American and Mayan calendar systems.
Seventh Ring
4 Cardinal direction stones (N, S, E, W) are placed on the perimeter, with four
double stone gateways placed at quarterly NE, NW, SE, SW directions.
Eighth Ring
24 trees corresponding to the Nordic Runes have been planted in straight track
alignment from center through the related Rune stones.
Finally, beyond the ring of Rune trees is a small modular circle around a tree
trunk table that is encircled by a seating bench. This module is aligned with the
center of our galaxy (referred to as Hunab Ku by the Mayans) as it appears on
Winter Solstice, December 22; the time at which our Solar System is closest to
the central hub of the Milky Way.
The entire garden in Dorset is surrounded by a wooden fence to protect it from
their grazing cows. The henge is to be progressed over time when larger stones
will replace the smaller.
On the following pages are 2 of the 12 templates that are part of the Starhenge
synthesis of calendar overlays. The directional template shows geographical
relationship to ancient sacred sites and straight track lines to cities and countries
around the globe. The other template includes the names of the trees and show
their intended placement.
